Zoë Sklepa
No Rush
curated by Vasilis Zografos
VZ studio presents No Rush, a solo exhibition by Zoë Sklepa, curated by visual artist Vasilis Zografos.
Zoë Sklepa approaches artistic
practice as an open dialogue with materials, objects, and the memories they
activate. Fabrics, plastic elements, and ready-made objects are recomposed into
hybrid forms in which the familiar constantly shifts toward the unexpected.
Through processes of assemblage and transformation, she constructs a personal visual
vocabulary in which each material carries its own emotional and cultural
resonance.
In No Rush, the exhibition
space is transformed into an environment of wandering and observation. Everyday
objects and fragmented details are enlarged and reconfigured, acquiring a new
sculptural presence that shifts the experience from the familiar to the
contemplative. The alteration of scale becomes an invitation for viewers to
pause, reconsider what they see, and discover new readings within ordinary
forms.
The works are arranged throughout
the space as a network of relationships forming an open-ended narrative, where
childhood, playfulness, and the freedom of association emerge as central
elements. The viewer’s movement through the installation becomes an integral
part of the experience itself.
Set against the fast pace of life, No Rush proposes
a different mode of viewing — one rooted in slowness, attentiveness, and free
exploration through space.
VZ studio was founded in 2017 as
the personal studio of visual artist Vasilis Zografos in Thessaloniki and
operates as an artist-run project space hosting exhibitions, artistic actions,
and works in progress.
